How it earns its place in the line

A single-seated body gives you clean, repeatable seating and dependable closure — the reason it's the default choice when the process just needs a valve that does what it's told. Top guiding keeps the plug stable through the full stroke, so you get predictable control across the range instead of hunting near the seat.

The valve is only half the story. The actuator moves it; the positioner makes it precise. Spec all three from one platform and they arrive matched — no integration guesswork, no mismatched trim.

Shut-off that holds
Class IV as standard. Step up to Class V metal seat or Class VI soft seat when "closed" has to mean closed — no weeping, no lost product.
Emissions handled at the stem
Low-emission gland packing seals the fugitive stuff — VOCs, ammonia, refrigerants, fuel gases — before it becomes a monitoring problem or a fenceline complaint.

Straight answers

What does a single-seated control valve actually do?
It's the automatic throttle in a pipe. Instead of just open or shut, it takes a control signal and moves its plug to any point in between, holding flow, pressure, temperature, or level exactly where your control system wants it.
AGVB or AGVM — what's the difference?
Same valve, different pressure class. AGVB: ANSI 150 / JIS 10K. AGVM: ANSI 300 / JIS 16K–30K. Go AGVM when your line pressure calls for it.
Is the SIL 3 claim real?
Yes — certified by exida to IEC 61508, not self-declared.
Can I monitor it remotely?
With an AVP70 smart positioner, yes — the valve becomes an IoT device and reports its own condition for predictive maintenance.
